Newcomer Schemes for Double-Hand Poker
December 1st, 2009 by Elliott

Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient ancestry. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler versus the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about any other, more advanced players winning their money.

A further Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game play, rookies should be able to take their time and plan while not needing to make frenzied selections.

It is also easier to gamble on for a long time with just a little amount of money since, to not win, both of your hands must be lower than both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer receives 7 cards faces hidden.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand must be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
