Poker Aces – discover how to play them

Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt pre-flop. It is the strongest attainable pre-flop hand inhold’em Poker. But despite this many players find themselves on the wrong end when given this hand.

When you are dealt a pair of Aces, you just don’t fold pre-flop. You are sitting with the greatest achievable hand at this part of the round. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you actually go all-in? I’d say absolutely no to that.

Always remember, you are attempting to produce as much money from this strong position. You need to maximise the opportunity. Going all-in will simply drive most competitors into folding without placing a bet.

If you are in the starting seat (first or 2nd to place a bet), you’ll place a single wager. Anyone with decent cards will call, with luck a player might raise. If there has been a raise do not jump to re-raise or call, pause for a short while – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.

After the flop your course of action will be to eliminate anyone that could be able to get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise boldly, if you’re fortunate you’ll fool 1 player into thinking that you’re tricking.

If you are in the center or later seat (one of the last to bet) you’ll observe as everyone calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Defend your hand by forcing the other players drop out after the flop. If you don’t abolish your opponents you chance squandering your hand.
