Caribbean Poker Rules and Pointers
January 3rd, 2018 by Elliott

Internet poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back in reality a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers acquire five cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet comes the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure on par with the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up money equal to your ante and fixed expectations on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
