Caribbean Poker Rules and Hints
August 15th, 2018 by Elliott

Web poker has become globally famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier saying "No further bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers are given 5 cards each. Once you have seen your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including a sum in accordance with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
