Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in a fantastic game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the croupier, not like nearly all other poker games that players bet with other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t have to fret about any other, more advanced people taking their cash.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, newcomers will be able to take their time and plan without having to make quick selections.
It is also easier to enjoy for an extended time with basically a little bit of money seeing as, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier is dealt seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be better than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
