Newcomer Strategy for Pai Gow Poker
May 3rd, 2023 by Elliott

Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the western in an awesome game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the house, not like almost all other poker games that players compete against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to fret about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their money.

A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, rookies should be able to take their time and strategize while not having to make quick decisions.

It is also easier to enjoy for a very long time with just a tiny amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the casino gets seven cards face down.

One five card hand and a 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
