Ah, the poker steam. If a poker gambler claims never to have peered over the shadow of an upcoming steam – they’re either telling a lie or they have not been wagering very long. This does not mean of course that everyone has gone on steam before, a number of players have awesome willpower and carry their squanderings as a loss and keep it at that. It is an unavoidable effect of competing in Texas Holdem, or in reality any type of poker.
After all we are assumingly (almost all of us) playing poker for a single purpose – to win $$$$, it certainly makes sense that we will gamble appropriately to maximize profits. Now let us say you are up $100 off of a $100 deposit, and you take a huge blow in a No Limits game and your bankroll is at one hundred and twenty dollars. You’ve squandered eighty dollars in a round where you should have picked up $200two hundred dollars when you decided to go all-in on the flop and had a 10 – 1 edge. And that amateur!
